TERRITORIES: North & South America
Hard Bounce, Schranz and Techno are genres that define the sound of Kander. Manchester born and raised, his music is on the rougher and tougher side of techno. He is creatively trying to push the boundaries of where music is going through technique as well as using creative sampling. Culturally understanding that it's a movement, and what each and every one is doing for the scene collectively, contributing in a way that pushes it in a direction that serves the community better.
When it comes to releases, Kander truly began with his 2021 release on Then called 'R-Label Group' RKR1’. Following up with his 2nd EP R002 in 2023 showing Kander has always been focused on presenting a techno audience with soundscape of UK music through sampling.
Since then, he has secured another 2 EP’s on Kobosil’s 44, and a single on their SEKTION 5 VA release this August. His EP R008 delivered two approaches to music, with the A-side showing the harder side of techno, and the B-side a softer and more personal insight with tracks including ‘Nerous’ and ‘Never Mind’ featuring CAIVA.
With released being bolstered with key performances at Boiler Room in 2022, alongside a South American and Asian tour, all being pivotal moments in his career, following a key set at Creamfields in the UK this summer, there is a lot more to come from Kander including a return to 44 with his track ‘Blood Shed’, showing a new direction but the same familiar essence of his UK roots, as well as an EP on Teletech’s label, with the teaser single expected this November.
A collaboration single ‘Problems’ with Alex Farell found a home on Sara Landry’s HEKATE, making his debut on her imprint. Whilst based in the UK, Kander has a selection of gigs to come for RHEINGRÜN Festival, Teletech’s Complex Weekender, Hive Halloween, T7 in Paris, Blackroom in Miami, and the massive XXL WHP Festival in Manchester, before heading off on another South America tour.
